Welcome To Wellness Wednesdays

Hey there, Chicks!

If you know our Founder and CEO of The Chicks Company, Debbie, you know she has an infectious energy, positivity and innate ability to see the beauty and potential of women from all activity levels, backgrounds and life paths. When we met she saw that same energy in me and that is why she brought me on board — to bring my experience, knowledge and expertise in the wellness and yoga industry.  And to educate and inspire the Chicks Community so they can live their best lives. So, in honor of Debbie’s vision, I hope to guide you on your path to a happier and healthier lifestyle. I hope to ignite the inner Chick within you to fulfill your deepest passions and reach your highest goals.

Each week I will dedicate my post to a single wellness topic, diving deep into the nature and background of this topic, while also providing manageable and transferable ways you can incorporate it into your own busy lives. Along with that, I’ll have leaders and professionals from the local and broader community to provide their Pearls of Wisdom. These are the guys walking the walk, and there is so much we can learn from them!

We decided on Wellness Wednesdays as something you can look forward to each week to motivate and keep you on your path. We all know how Wednesdays can feel a bit difficult.  “I still have how many more days until the weekend??” But hopefully you can find peace and sanity in knowing that the Chicks are here to get you through the week.

We’ll also post events that are “Chick Approved” - we want you to get out there and play! Here at The Chicks Company we are all about community. We encourage you to meet up with Chicks in your area. And please feel free to share any fun events you might be attending so we can get the word out!

To get this blog party started we’ll explore something you may have already been asking yourself, what the heck is wellness anyway? And to that I will answer, a lot. Wellness is multi-dimensional and encompasses various areas of a persons life to bring it into better balance. It is important that we nurture our human needs from all angles.

Over the next 7 weeks we’ll explore the Seven Dimensions of Wellness, allowing you to evaluate how you may better serve yourself to bring yourself back into balance. 

The Seven Dimensions of Wellness and the topics we’ll dive into are:

  • Social
  • Physical
  • Emotional
  • Intellectual
  • Spiritual
  • Environmental
  • Occupational

I know. It is a lot to think about! That’s why I’m going to break it down, giving you fun, easy tips and lifestyle behaviors so you can keep up with your wellness on a regular (daily) basis! Trust me, it’s going to be worth it, because you’re worth it!
