The Runner Chick is a delightful Dark Roast Blend of Rwandan, Sumatran, Colombian, Honduran; all Premium Beans.

Cool Beans Story:
After the genocide and civil war of 1994 in Rwanda, 180 very strong women had a vision of community and healing. In 2008 they created KOPAKAMA, a co-op focused on the rehabilitation of several coffee farms left unattended from the civil war and genocide. Their vision was to rebuild their lives and to provide hope for their future and opportunities for the women in the surrounding communities. They work on their own individual farms and on a collective farm building with a vision of "A Beautiful Tomorrow" from their coffee sales called "Ejo Heza". Their co-op has grown to 247 members and are now investing in water access to surrounding communities spreading their lovely vision and sustainability to benefit the people of their region. Their green coffee is considered some of the best in the world. Nicely done ladies!
